Exceeded my expectations
John_M
, Jan 2022
Our tour guide, Lisa, was great, and was a great combination of both light hearted, playful, and informative. She kept the drive entertaining and fun.
The actual Barbados Wildlife Reserve was great. Essentially, the staff drop a large amount of fruit in the center of the reserve leading to several dozen animals of all types rushing to the food. It’s a combination of turtles, monkeys, peacocks, deer, and roosters. It was very hands off and allowed us time to just appreciate the animals.
The feeding starts at 2pm and last approximately 45 minutes.
The animals are routinely within arm reach, but petting, holding, and trying to feed the animals yourself is discouraged. The animals seemed friendly and very comfortable around people, but don’t expect petting zoo.
On the private tour, we got to see a handful of other beautiful locations while traveling to and from the Reserve. Far exceeded my expectations. Strongly recommended for all ages unless you had a large group of children who would try to grab the animals. Might be mitigated with close adult supervision.
Don’t book with this group

Booked this private group and the day we were supposed to go sandals made us test for covid to go back to the US the next day. my husband was positive and I was negative I reached out to them to see if maybe they could help out with giving some money back as it was very expensive all others including airlines helped out but this group. My advice if you are booking this you should book with sandals or another site they all would have helped due to Covid and all I got back is hope he feels better. I will for sure be posting this on the Facebook page also so all knows not to use them.
Monkeying Around!

We were picked up from our hotel at the scheduled time and joined another couple who were doing a slightly different tour in the same area. This worked well as we paid half what we would have done for a private tour and gave us the chance to interact with fellow holiday makers. Our guide/driver Zadora aka Sunshine was great. She was very knowledgeable and we felt very safe with her. She was also happy to listen to our comments/thoughts on current issues. The Wildlife Reserve was great and the monkeys relatively well behaved compared to others places we’ve been. It was also great to see the 100s of tortoises that inhabit the park and to see the spectacular scenery on the north coast of the island. All in all a great way to spend five hours and highly recommended.
Awesome trip

best tour guide ever. you could absolutely tell how much he loves barbados, i spoke of how i love to go looking for shells, so he went out of his way to bring us to the best shelling beach in barbados after we had left the monkey sanctuary which was also perfect. absolutely recommend.

Great Experience

This was a great experience - the best bit was the seeing all the animals getting fed. It's a lovely nature reserve, was so nice to see all the animals roaming around free and not in cages. There is over 300 Tortoises roaming around, plus you will see deer's, peacocks, chickens, turkeys, monkeys, plus other birds. At 2pm a staff member wheels in a big wheel barrel full of fruit and veg (all the animals know!! haha) Its a stampeded of animals - we saw 5 monkeys and you can get very close to take pictures, you will get the odd tortoise walk over your feet! Plus when your finished at the nature reserve - you get a free rum punch!!
You get to make some nice stops along the way on the East and North point of Barbados. The lady was very friendly and knowlegable , she gave us a brief history of the sites and made us feel at ease. You get a bottle of water when your tour starts (perfect in the heat).
I would highly recommend this tour.

Out tour guide was Cory. He was a really friendly guy and very knowledgeable.
It’s was great to see parts of the island we would have never seen without this trip.
The wildlife park was brilliant. Kids loved it. Only spent about an hour there but that was plenty. Recommend.
Horrible do not book

I called them 100 times to try and see where to go to do the feeding because we didn't stay at a hotel no one ever answered. They trip host told me to cancel the day before and I also messaged her back asking her to call me and got no response they are scammers they took my money and never gave me a tour.
Response from Host , Jul 2021
For some reason sometimes people call about this tour. and want to drive to the Wildlife Reserve themselves. We have to explain to them that the tour includes transport and it is best to cancel the tour and just drive and pay the fee. themselves which is much lower than doing a tour with transport and other stops.... I don't know how this is scamming anyone. If Viator did not refund you please. just let us know and we can help. They are a good company so I am sure this can be easily resolved for you
More than monkeys!

This was my first experience with Glory Tours after having booked excursions with another operator. I highly recommend the company! The vehicle was clean and in good condition. The operator, Charles, was outstanding. He provided an appropriate amount of commentary while we were en route, but didn't go on and on making lame jokes just to fill the time. An appropriate amount of time was allotted to each stop along the way so that we didn't feel rushed. The visit to the Wildlife Reserve was fantastic. We were allowed to roam around however we wanted to, just like the animals! And the feeding time was just a delight. A massive amount of food was provided by the Reserve staff and everyone showed up right on cue: monkeys, deer and tortoises!! And they all got along, mostly. I don't really know if the tortoises knew the monkeys were standing on top of them since the shells were so thick but if you ever thought turtles were slow, you haven't seen one at dinner time yet!! There was also an area where you could purchase snacks and drinks, including a very decent rum punch! The only thing missing was a gift shop. I would have loved to make a few purchases to support the Reserve. Next time??? Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon!
Great tour guide!

Our tour guide, Roger Griffith, was spectacular and had a great sense of humor. He also couldn't get enough of my son who is a continuous stream of semi-conscious thoughts, spoken out loud. Even though the total time of the tour was far more than we were prepared for, it was quite interesting. We learned a lot about all of Barbados, not just the monkeys.
I suggest that anyone interested in this tour, read up on it carefully because it wasn't clear to me that the tour would end up being 7 hours and that the monkey feeding was not us feeding the monkeys (we've done that elsewhere), rather the preserve placing a huge pile of fruit out for the monkeys and other animals. Also, the nature preserve with the monkeys was comparatively no great shakes to others we've been to in various parts of the world.
Great experience!

It was a great relief to me that my grandchildren would not actually be feeding monkeys but would be there to observe. ( Monkeys are fascinating to watch, from a distance, but they are wild animals and should be treated as such!!!)
Charles arrived to pick us up as planned and we were all happy to listen to him educate us about Barbados. Thank you Charles Mark for treating us to a very educational tour. You were so entertaining that our grandchildren ( 8 and 12 ) are still referring to some of the things you shared with us.
