Saona Island Paradise From Punta Cana

I was having second thought of booking this activities because of some bad reviews but it turned out to be ok.

Tour guide Alberto was perfect and pickup and drop off for the hotels were perfect and smooth! Would forsure do it again.

I had such an amazing time on this excursion. Everyone was so polite it was one of my best experiences. They spoke English and Spanish so that was also great 👍. I will definitely book again when traveling to DR

The Tour Guide and staff was excellent!! However, we did not anticipate being unloaded from our van right on the highway into a larger bus that took us to the harbor. The catamaran was old and rum & cheap cola was our only drink option (other than cheap cola alone). I was expecting at least a rum punch or other alcoholic drink options. Seeing Saona Island is what we wanted and super nice! Buffet was mediocre. Why is cheap spaghetti served on a remote Caribbean island?? My recommendation is to pick an Island Tour Company with newer boats and a "real bar" onboard if this is your first time. The all-around experience can be better.

This was such a fun excursion for me and my girls for a bachelorette trip. Here's a quick rundown of our trip: - Early morning pickup and transfer to the chartered bus - Relaxing drive through the countryside to a rest area with some mamajuana shots - Drive to beach to board speedboat - Fun speedboat ride to the natural pool - Hang out at the natural pool with the floating bar with rum, sprite, and coke (this was my favorite part!) - Speedboat ride to Saona Island (beach) - Have a full lunch with fish, chicken, and porkchops for lunch (more open bar with beer) - Fun catamaran ride back to the mainland with music, dancing, more rum, and relaxing - Bus ride and transfer taxi pickup back to our Airbnb Based on the reviews, I was a little hesitant to sign up for this excursion, but it was great! I would definitely recommend if you want some island fun. Some things to keep in mind, it makes for a VERY long day, so if I were you, I'd bring some extra snacks, bottled water, (or maybe even liquor if you're feeling extra!). If you're planning to do other things that day, make sure it's pretty lowkey. You'll likely be very tired. Other than that, go for it! Benjamin and the entire crew were really great!

The trip was very relaxing! My husband & I took 7 of our kids on this excursion and enjoyed the relaxation! It was organized from the pick up to the drop off knowing who we were going with and having enough time on the catamaran on the way to the island. We were able to soak up the sun and enjoy drinks flowing on the catamaran. The food was plentiful and flavorful on the beach which we enjoyed after a short stop at the sand bar. The only thing that could have made this better was to stop longer and snorkel in the clear waters.

It was a fun day and a GREAT price. But we were never offered snacks or beer as it states in the package. Additionally, we paid for the VIP, and I do not even eat sea food but I got it for the upgraded drinks. Which was only a single glass of champagne, which no one in our group drank. The other person at the other table asked from another glass and they told her no. I would not have upgraded had I not thought I would get upgraded drinks - like vodka - which I think was in the description. The host was fun. The sights were amazing. We actually did not stop to see star fish like it shows in the pictures either. But I gave it 4 starts because of the price. Also on the way back it took 2.5 hours. Our bus driver did not communicate on the way there or back. It was all very confusing. We ended up being gone for like 11.5 hours, and had to cancel another trip with them because we could not chance missing our covid tests. On the way there, you have to transfer from a shuttle to a bus, which is fine, but they left us sitting in our shuttle, sent a couple to another shuttle (who we had to pick up later), and then after we sat there for a weird time came back and told us to get on the bus and acted like we should have already left. On the way back, the driver was driving like 20 miles an hour on the freeway. People were honking at us. Again we pull up at a random spot. Some of our group was so mad that they got a a taxi. The bus driver gets off. We think people are just angry and walking off the bus. It turns out this is the transfer spot again, but no one said anything to us. Expect a weird travel to get there and back with no communication. Very weird.

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 2 years anniversary, so we wanted to do something romantic and memorable. We picked Sarona Island supposedly it's very romantic. But from what to expect to what it is actually is a bit far-fetched. But we had so much fun, I wouldn't say romantic though, definitely memorable, fun and we love it. We had so much fun.

Benjamin was a cool guide. His English is very good and is also funny. I gave 4 stars because the food was not that good. They didn’t offer so many options for vegetarians. There was only salads and the rest was pork and chicken only. The tour took approx 11 hrs. We came back very slowly with party catamaran and the party was boring. And we could really skip the tour to the souvenir shop, it wasn’t necessary

It was such a shame that they did not advertise the travel time well. We traveled for nearly 5+ hours and on the way back it was really torture because everyone was so tired. There were kids on the trip when it was marketed as a boozy catamaran cruise. We spent most of the time on a speedboat, and when we finally got to the catamaran it was small and crowded. Everyone sat together cramped and no one was drinking and having fun. Deff not a fun catamaran booze cruise as we were hoping.
