We pick up from all the hotels in San Juan and Airb&b’s. We will provide the nearest pick-up locations. Buses stop at specific hotels depending on the area. For people staying in the Old San Juan area, the pick-up location is Plaza Colon. Keep in mind pick-up times are approximate. Tour buses begin pick-up’s at 10:00 am. Depending on your location, time will be later. The driver will be calling you by your name, have your ID ready to board the bus. It is currently high season, therefore, traffic in the mornings is very busy, be patient and enjoy a coffee while you wait!

  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity is missed

  • Pick up times begin at 10am; please note there are several locations and times will vary depending on where you are staying.
  • Round-trip Transportation; Travel time is 1+ hour each way
  • You will get wet and muddy, please bring steady closed toe shoes for the hike
  • Bring extra clothing, swimwear, towel
  • A proper safety briefing will be given to participate in the water slide activity. It is imperative all guests cooperate and follow all given instructions to avoid injury or a dangerous situation. Please note this is a rainforest with a very rocky terrain. This is an extreme adventure.
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Maximum weight to participate in the waterslide is 240lbs. All other participants may complete the activity at their own risk.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

Tropical Rainforest El Yunque was an amazing experience. Enjoyed the waterfalls and natural waterslide. Our tour guide Ruben was excellent and very informative. He was excellent and was very cautious about our safety. I highly recommend doing this tour with Ruben.

Fun escape in Puerto Rico

We were in Puerto Rico for an incentive trip with Pampered Chef. About 14 of us decided to do the rainforest excursion, and it was quite enjoyable. Tip. No matter what you may hear, water shoes are not helpful on slippery rocks! We hiked, slid down the natural water slide and then went to the beach for some Mojitos and local cuisine. Devin was a very knowledgeable tour guide and made sure to keep us safe. I highly recommend.

Devin was such a great host for this trip. He was engaging and it was clear he WANTED everyone to have a great time and kept an eye on everyone for safety. He communicated with us when the trip was booked about our stay (it wasn’t listed as a pickup option since it was an Airbnb) and the day before/of the trip to update us on our pickup time. He picked us up right around the block so we didn’t have to go far at all. He recommended some eateries when we got to the beach and some places to explore in PR in general. Guide/driver was very good. Handled minor adversity with the bus in a professional manner. Kept guest safety as a priority the whole trip given the rocky approaches and different swimming abilities this was very important. A fun day in the water but not for you if you want a rainforest hike.

Total tour time approx 4 hours, rest of the time was travel. The El Yunque part was a short hike to a waterfall for sliding down the rocks, and then climbing over boulders to get to a swimming hole for a smaller waterfall ride and jumping from a rock into deeper pool of water. Luquillo Beach’s water was beautiful, but other than that I wouldn’t go back. (Well, maybe for the mojitos). Fun, but not what we expected. Our guide was great, and very nice.

Noo expensive for a bus drive

The trip is too expensive for what is provided. The trip to el yunque was basically a bus ride to a water slide. There was no entry in the national park or walk around it. In the description it is written that fees are included (I believed that the fee for the national park is inclueed), however it was the price for parking... after the waterside the driver just dropped us to the beach for two hours and then the trip was over. No chips were provided. We were 4 people, so I believe it would have been a lot better to rent a car and do this in our own.

This tour was so much fun! The waterfall was so beautiful and we had so much fun sliding down the rocks. The beach was a lovely second stop. At the beach, we got to try different foods and shop for souvenirs. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! He made sure that we were all able to safely enjoy the waterfall and gave us great information about Puerto Rico, the cities we travelled to and from, and El Yunque.

This is great for family and kids. Not a very stressful hike. We were hoping for a longer hike through the rainforest. However, it did offer a slide down the mountain and a swimming hole. We had an awesome tour guide that provided transportation, history of Puerto Rico, and safety on the hike.
